Children's privacy notice
imaginAItion is designed for parent-supervised use with children ages 4–8. A parent or legal guardian must create the account, create each child profile, and provide consent before imaginAItion processes a child's story inputs.
This notice is intended to describe imaginAItion's product behavior and privacy controls. The app owner should complete counsel review, COPPA readiness review, provider data-processing review, and jurisdiction-specific launch review before making imaginAItion publicly available to families.
What imaginAItion collects
imaginAItion stores child profile details that a parent or guardian provides, including name, age range, optional pronouns, avatar color, sharing preference, saved-voice preference, consent scopes, consent version, and parent/guardian consent timestamp.
When a child tells a story, imaginAItion may process uploaded recordings, story words, finished story text, illustrations, book pages, character details, locations, objects, world facts, story events, safety review metadata, privacy audit events, and deletion/export status so the family can review, manage, and keep the finished book.
How story inputs are used
imaginAItion uses story inputs to transcribe voice, generate draft book text, create illustrations, run safety checks, save books to the parent account, support private reading, and fulfill parent-requested export or deletion workflows.
imaginAItion should only send child data to service providers whose terms, retention settings, and model-training/data-use settings are approved by the app owner and consistent with this policy. Providers should not use child story inputs, recordings, or generated books for their own advertising profiles or unrelated model training unless the parent has received a separate notice and provided legally valid consent.
Saved voice recordings
Audio is used to turn a recording into story words and create the book. Keeping original recordings is optional and controlled by the parent or guardian in the Privacy & Safety Center.
If a parent or guardian chooses not to keep original recordings, imaginAItion does not attach recording links to completed books or story history after the generation lifecycle finishes. The app records lifecycle status for uploaded audio so scheduled deletion workers and admin review can confirm whether deletion completed, is queued, failed, or requires manual provider action.
Parent consent and choices
Parents and guardians can choose whether original recordings are kept and whether saved books can be shared by private link. Required consent covers child profile setup, transcription, and book generation; optional consent covers audio retention and sharing.
Use the in-app Privacy & Safety Center to review consent history, withdraw or update consent, revoke active share links, export child data, and submit deletion or privacy review requests. Consent withdrawal blocks story generation, transcription, audio retention, and sharing until a parent restores the required consent scopes.
Export and deletion
Parents and guardians can request an audited JSON export of child profile data, consent records, books, safety reports, deletion status, and privacy audit events available to the account.
When a parent deletes child data, imaginAItion removes the child profile from the account, turns off sharing and consent right away, then securely removes child profile data, books, saved story details, media references, and related records. imaginAItion keeps limited deletion receipts, confirmation codes, and audit records so the app owner can verify completion and investigate failed or provider-pending asset deletion.
Sharing
Private read-only share links are off unless a parent or guardian enables sharing for the child profile and creates a link. Anyone with an active share link can read the saved book, so links should only be sent to trusted family and friends.
Share links can be disabled from the Privacy & Safety Center or refreshed from book sharing tools. Shared-book pages are configured to avoid search indexing, and active links should expire or be revoked according to the app's sharing controls.
Child safety
imaginAItion is designed for children ages 4–8. Story content is checked before illustration and book creation, and stories that need review are blocked from the automated creation flow.
Automated checks are not a substitute for parent review. A parent or guardian should review each finished book before saving, printing, or sharing it.
Contact and launch readiness
Families can contact imaginAItion support through the app owner's support channel for privacy questions, access requests, deletion questions, or safety concerns.
Before public launch, the app owner should maintain written evidence of counsel review, COPPA consent flow review, provider data-processing settings, deletion-worker proof, audio-retention proof, and private-link abuse monitoring.
